Online dating 'cost-effective'
January 30, 11
This is according to an article featured on the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, which explained how not only is this method more convenient, but it can also help save people significant amounts.
The publication carried out an experiment to see whether people would be more successful in finding a partner if they visited bars or joined online dating sites.
It was concluded that both approaches resulted in singles meeting someone, however, the time it took and expense was less when using the internet.
"Although some of the best online dating sites charge fees, taking a more targeted approach means that we don't need to lurk around bar scenes so much," the news source commented.
Writing for the Frisky, Amelia McDonell-Parry recently advised individuals to be careful not to abbreviate words or substitute them for numbers when contacting other singles, as this can put some people off.
